Whether you're playing solo against the AI or challenging a friend in local 2-player mode, the energy is immediate and the rounds are over before you know it - making every hit count. Gameplay-wise, things stay simple but satisfying. You start by picking one of ten superheroes - each with their own look and slightly different fighting style - and then jump straight into the action. Controls are basic: directional movement, punch, kick, jump, and a couple of combo moves depending on your character. Don't expect deep move sets or complex combo trees - it's more about quick reactions, positioning, and landing the first blow. The characters aren't official Marvel or DC heroes, but they're clearly inspired by the usual icons, which makes it fun to see them square off in pixelated combat. What SuperHero Fighters lacks in depth, it makes up for in personality and pace.
